To help choose the most appropriate Sassy Scrubs size for your custom made garments, here are some helpful details for measuring:
- Measure a top which currently fits you well. If you do not have a scrub top to measure, use a garment which fits as a scrub top will fit you - loose and comfortable. A pajama top may work
well for you.
Do NOT choose a tee shirt, or sweatshirt, or other stretchy or close to the body fabric or garment.
- Measure beneath the underarm area of the top, from side to side, with the garment laid flat.
Double this measurement.
This should give you the circumference of your top.
Now check that figure against the size chart.
- Search for a size which equals, or is slightly larger than, the figure you obtained for #1 above.
Do NOT choose a figure smaller than your measurement figure, even if it is closer than the next size up, as the garment will be too small for you.
- 1. LADIES SIZING – DO NOT CHOOSE THE SAME SIZE AS OUR STANDARD UNISEX SCRUB TOPS, WITHOUT MEASURING FIRST. EXPECT A DIFFERENT SIZE. For a feminine look and fit, our Mock Wrap Top is fitted through the torso.
- Measure a top which currently fits you well. If you do not have a scrub top to measure, use a garment in a similar style; this may work well for you.
Do NOT choose a tee shirt, or sweatshirt, or other stretchy or close to the body fabric or garment.
- To be sure of fit, we offer garment measurements just beneath the underarm and 4" below the underarm, where the top is most fitted.

- Measure at the hip level - approximately 8 inches down from the waistband on scrub pants which currently fit you well.
Multiply this figure by two and compare that measurement to our size chart.
- If you do not have scrub pants which currently fit you well, choose another garment which fits as scrub pants would fit you - loose and comfortable. Pajama bottoms may work well for this.
Do NOT choose jeans, stretch pants, leggings or other tight to the body, or stretchy fabrics or garments.
- Search for a size which equals, or is slightly larger than, the figure you obtained for #1 above.
Do NOT choose a figure smaller than your measurement figure, even if it is closer than the next size up, as the garment will be too small for you.
- Measure the inseam length of pants which fit you well and whose length is comfortable for you.
Fold the pants with both legs facing, then measure the inseam from crotch to hem, following the curve of the pants.
This is your inseam length. We make pants in any length you need, so this is an important figure.
- Measure a scrub jacket which currently fits you well.
If you do not have a scrub jacket to measure, use a garment which fits as a scrub jacket will fit you - loose and comfortable. A "boyfriend style blazer" may work well for you.
Do NOT choose a body hugging blazer, outer garment jacket, or other stretchy, bulky, or close to the body fabric or garment.
- Measure beneath the arms, from side to side, with the jacket laid flat. Double this number and compare to the size chart.
- Search for a size which equals, or is slightly larger than, the figure you obtained for #1 above.
Do NOT choose a figure smaller than your measurement figure, even if it is closer than the next size up, as the garment will be too small for you.
- Measure the length of your jacket by measuring the back, from the back neck facing to the bottom hem.
This is your jacket length.
You may choose a tall hem or a petite hem, so this measurement is important for you as one of your choices.
- Measure a Lab Coat which currently fits you well.
If you do not have a Lab Coat to measure, use a garment which fits as a Lab Coat will fit you - loose and comfortable.
A "boyfriend style blazer" may work well for you.
Do NOT choose a body hugging blazer, outer garment jacket, or other stretchy, bulky, or close to the body fabric or garment.

You may choose from four different lengths, so this measurement is important for you as one of your choices.

- See directions for the appropriate non-maternity garment above.
If possible, use maternity items you are currently wearing for measurements.
If you have gained, or expect to gain, a large amount of weight, please take this into account when measuring.
We have included extra room in our maternity pieces to allow for average weight, but if you have gained, or expect to gain, a large amount of weight (expecting twins?), please take this into
account when measuring.
- PLEASE note the lengths for our Maternity Tops and Jackets. Measure the length of tops and jackets you are currently wearing.
Are you comfortable with this length?
Will this length provide the coverage you will need as your tummy expands?
If not, make the adjustments you will need when you order your Maternity Sassy Scrubs garments.
Think our jackets or tops may be too long? Order the petite length.
