Clooney is Loony for Sassy Scrubs!

Sassy Scrubs, with its humble beginnings, has undergone an amazing metamorphosis into a booming web-based business which includes a considerable international clientele. Sassy Scrub’s star career launched when one of the Sassy Scrubs’ medical scrub tops was sent off to the production manager at “E.R.” for George Clooney to wear. The production manager called for swatches and information and two weeks later they placed their first of many orders for Sassy Scrubs.

After more than four successful seasons of working with the wardrobe department at “E.R.”, you would see Dr. Corday wearing one of her Sassy Scrubs surgical hats, or Malik in an indigo denim top or pants that were made to his specific measurements—“He is a big boy!” reported Sassy Scrubs. Two different seasons of Christmas episodes have featured many of Sassy Scrubs’ holiday prints. Sassy Scrubs was even invited to visit the set of the show in Burbank, Calif. at Warner Bros. Studios. They spent four and a half hours there, watching Anthony Edwards direct an episode and meeting members of the “E.R.” cast and staff, including George Clooney himself.

After their visit, they were a little star struck because of their relationship with the show. They certainly never would have imagined that they would have had this kind of opportunity.

Sassy Scrubs calls their product line “designer scrubs.” They don’t compete with the major manufacturers of uniforms; they complement the big guys. They have created mini-niches and paid attention to what their customers have said because they care. They create custom lengths and specialize in men’s and larger sizes. They offer sizes from XXS to 6XL and have over 1,400 prints and solids from which to choose! Sassy Scrubs features prints for medical and veterinary uses, as well as a line of holiday wear. Niche categories showcasing Asian prints and Vintage designs, as well as their own custom made Maternity scrubs, have made Sassy Scrubs well known.

Sassy Scrubs reinforces all sleeves and stitches in draw cords so they don’t get lost in the wash. They do things differently and it’s the little extra touches that set them apart. They often find that “perfect” fabric for their customer’s special interests, like sports prints, Asian prints, food themes and prints just for pet lovers.

Sassy Scrubs has found that the best promotion for business is free press. They get better responses from articles about their “E.R.” exposure than they have from print advertisements. Still, they have found that the response to their direct mail campaigns has been “overwhelming.” Sassy Scrubs is also very active in their local Chamber of Commerce.
